Decorate Your Body ♡

I like to think of our bodies as a masterpiece and you are the painter. A fun way to add to any outfit would be to throw on a body chain. They look gorgeous and very unique. Plus, they are very in trend right now. I got my first body chain at Forever 21 for around 4 bucks which is such a steal since they look like they would be way more expensive than just $4. I just wanted to try it on and play around with it and, let me tell you, I absolutely love it. Whenever I wear it I get so many compliments because it's not like you see it everyday.

It's a very girly and dainty way to add something more to an outfit. Plus it is great for this time of year since the weather is starting to warm up here in California. Let me know how you style these body chains, I'd love to know!

On the Loose! ♡

Loose, flowy shorts have become a huge trend this spring. These pajama-like shorts are perfect for those days were you want to look cute but still be comfortable at the same time. They actually feel like you're wearing pajama shorts but these are socially acceptable because they're a trend. Best of both worlds, right?

I've been seeing these shorts in stores everywhere especially in Forever 21, Cotton On, Urban Outfitters, Brandy Melville, and other stores similar to those. Most of them are floral but there are some solid colored ones as well. Here are a few that I am loving.

So, if you are a comfort freak then these shorts were made for you. These shorts just scream comfort and are still very stylish.

✞ Jesus Walks ✞

When I imagine what Jesus looks like I always picture him wearing some Birkenstocks. I call them "Jesus sandals." Apparently, they are the new trend! I remember seeing men wear these types of shoes with socks but never in a million years would I expect them to be fashionable.

To me, they're not the most fashionable pair of shoes out there but I'm not judging. I think these shoes look pretty cute on some people with a certain look. Personally, I do not see myself wearing these shoes but on other women, they look great.

I love fashion trends that work for women and for men. Here is a picture of Usher wearing some Birkenstocks.

Pretty Little Layers ♡

When people think of layering they usually think of winter because of the cold weather. But layering can actually work for spring time as well. By simply adding a light cardigan over your shirt or by wrapping a sweater around your waist is an easy way to layer and add something extra to an outfit.
What I love about layering is that there are multiple ways to layer. Here are a few that I really love.

Kimonos are one of my favorite trends this season and by adding one over a crop top instantly adds a girly touch to this simple outfit.

It's not summer yet, therefore it is not super hot outside, so by wrapping a lightweight sweater around your waist is a great way to layer. Also, if you get cold it's very convenient because you can just unwrap the sweater from around your waist and throw it on. Ta-da.

I love this look so much because Kavita (who happens to be one of my favorite bloggers) played the layering game very well. She started her look off with a simple black crop top then added some overall shorts and then paired it with a long kimono. Love this look.

Whatever Vanessa Hudgens wears it looks flawless. She can walk out in a pair of sweatpants and a white tee and I guarantee that she will still look like a goddess. Anyways, this look she is wearing is very effortless. She loves to layer and she did so by pairing this white crop top with a flowy cardigan.

Another way to layer is by layering accessories. Here is Kylie with a bunch of different necklaces on. This is just a fun way to play with your outfit.

I love to layer .. how about you? Let me know in the comments below!

Bindis .. or Nah?

Fashion trends come and go. Lately, I've been seeing girls wearing bindis on their forehead as a fashion statement. I've seen people either like this trend or hate this trend. For some, this trend can be seen as offensive to a specific culture because bindis have a significant meaning to them and are not worn to look cute. A lot of celebrities have been seen wearing bindis which have made other girls who look up to them want to wear them as well.

My personal thoughts on this trend are very unsure. I completely understand how this trend can be seen as offensive to the Indian culture but I feel like girls who are wearing this mean no harm and do not mean to offend anyone. They wear it simply because they think it looks cute and adds a nice accessory to their outfit.

So what do you think? Do you think that just anyone can throw on a bindi or do you think that it's disrespectful and should be worn for a significant meaning only?

Will you hop on the bindi train.. or nah? (:

A Day in My Style: Chilly Spring Days ☼

Today was a very overcast, chilly spring day. On days like this I usually keep my outfit pretty casual by throwing on a flannel (surprise, surprise) and some jeans. Here are some pictures of my outfit that I wore today:

What I'm Wearing: ♡
Flannel // Thrift Store
Black Crop Top // Forever 21
High Waisted Jeans // Forever 21
Black Doc Marten Inspired Boots // Random Shoe Store
Jewelry // Forever 21 & Brandy Melville
Sunglasses // Forever 21

This has pretty much been my go-to outfit - a crop top, flannel, and high waisted jeans. It's super comfy and casual which is my favorite way to dress. I can't wait until the weather gets warmer so that I can start wearing shorts, skirts, and dresses again. Until then, stay cute ♡

Thrifting 101 ♡

Let me just start off by saying that shopping at thrift stores are not everyone's thing. But, for those of you who do enjoy browsing through your local Goodwill here and there have came to the right place. I am going to share with you my little tips for shopping at a thrift store.
I have three main tips that I always use whenever I am out thrifting.

Tip Number One // Patience ♡

This is the most predictable tip out of them all but it is the realest. Patience is key. If you do not have a lot of time on your hands, then I would not go to a thrift store if I were you. I usually thrift when I have some time to kill. If you want to find some really good stuff at thrift stores then you literally have to dig and search through all of the racks to find some hidden treasures. I usually start out in the women's section and then work my way over to the men's and even kid's section. You would not believe how many flannels I have found in the men's section and also some comfy shirts in the kid's. Catch my thrift?
Anyways, this also brings me to my next tip.

Tip Number Two // Think Outside the Box ♡

If you were shopping at a regular department store like Macy's, you probably wouldn't even think about shopping in the men's section (unless you are a man or are shopping for a man). You can find some pretty interesting things in the men's section in thrift stores. As you guys probably know (if you read my post about flannels) that I am a huge flannel junkie and I get pretty much all of them from the guy's section at Goodwill.
About a month ago, I also found some old Levi jeans in the men's section that I plan on cutting into some high waisted shorts.

Go into a thrift store with an open mind and I guarantee you will find some pretty awesome things. (I guarantee or your money back) :]

Tip Number Three //  Shop Alone ♡

I don't know about you guys but I love shopping alone. Whenever I go shopping (which is basically every weekend *cough*) I love being able to hear myself think. When I go with friends, these type of things pop into my head, "omg, I wonder if she thinks I'm taking too long" "I want to continue shopping but she wants to leave" "I really want to go into that store but I don't think she wants to look in there" and a bunch of other things. That is the main reason why I love shopping alone because I get to do me.
Also, going alone is better than going with party poopers. What I mean by that is, you have no one around to judge for all of those flannels that you are about to buy or for that really old grandma-looking sweater that you just tried on. Leave the haters behind and just do you!

Well those are my two cents about thrift shopping. I hope these helped, if not, I'm sorry for wasting your time :) Thanks for reading!
Stay cute.

✌ Music Festival Fashion ✌

As summer gets closer and closer, music festivals start to happen again. One of the largest music festivals out there is Coachella. It is in the month of April and is one of the biggest music festivals in California.
Although I personally have never been to a music festival before, I still know how most people dress when they go. I keep up with Coachella fashion every year like it's my job or something. I would love to go to Coachella one year just for the fashion .. and for the music of course (: They aren't clothes that you would normally wear on a normal day out and about in the city. People wear clothes that are very easy breezy and light weight because it can get pretty hot at music festivals.

If you know a little something about Coachella fashion, then there are no questions needed for when I say that Vanessa Hudgens is, hands down, the Coachella fashion queen. All of her outfits are on point and are ridiculously cute. Her style is effortless and it doesn't even look like she's trying.

All you need are crop tops, high waisted shorts, maxi skirts, loose dresses, sunglasses, a floppy hat and a floral crown and you are basically ready for Coachella or any music festival in general. Music festival fashion is very carefree and easy to put together.

✞ ☯ Chokers ✞ ☯

Oh yes, the 90s are back. So how many of you were obsessed with that little stretchy black band that you put around your neck as a kid? You know .. the ones that look something like this:
Yeah, me too. Well guess what? They're back.
I have seen so many girls wearing chokers again. Even celebrities like Kylie Jenner.

I haven't seen chokers being sold in stores yet. I've only seen them being sold online at places like Ebay and Amazon.
Chokers were the only accessory I wore as a kid. They came in different colors to mix and match and it was just fun to wear as a 90s kid. The chokers now come in different styles and different lengths. I'm kind of glad that chokers are coming back into style because they're a fun piece to wear and it adds a little bit of edginess to an outfit.

Are you glad that chokers are back in style? Let me know below! Stay cute.
